Ahhh…. “la dolce vita”… the sweet life in Italian. I was once in Italy, but it seems likes ages ago. Where did it go?! I decided to go and look for a better, civilized life than being a rat in a cage from the NYC life, but now, I’ve been back here, and there and everywhere else in between and now back again! In Brooklyn now, exactly! I miss the food, my class times while I was a student of cooking and the language of Italian, (the language of “love” as they say?!!) and my great and big and amazing apartment looking the Duomo at night!
It’s been great-the travels, the food, the sunshine and of course the amazing city of Florence itself! I do hope to see you soon Italy! I love and miss you and please don’t forget me!
How long were you in Italy for? I’ve got the biggest urge to go spend 3 months there this year. Any advice you have would be awesome!
Thanks!

You should and thanks for your comment! It’s my first comment as I just started my blog today! It’s a bit cold now and Europeans don’t use as much heating as we do here in the states so I would wait, however, if you wait too long, it will be a bit too hot perhaps! I would recommend April to June and the sea in July! I was there for three months but have been back once and have been in Italy several times. If you have a set time, I can give you more information! The “must sees” include Cinque Terre, Rome, Florence, Siena in Tuscany and Venice! I hope you go! KIT! Best, Jesse
Thanks Jesse! Im in BK too! Just moved here from LA, thought it was a great place to base myself out of while I travel. Congrats on starting your blog, it’s really fun!
Im thinking of going April/May/June. I’d like to set my self up in places for a couple of weeks at a time, so need accom on the cheap, especially considering I just thought of going yesterday so started saving for it today!
What were you doing while you were there?

Hi! I was in culinary school! I recommend you go to some smaller but equally more beautiful and nicer places as their accommodations are so much better and they are quite amazing! I can give you some great places to stay: in Cinque Terre I stayed in a converted hospital, in the city of Lucca which is built around a fort was great as well! I recommend: Lucca, Siena as a day trip, Florence for a couple of days, of course Cinque Terre and if you like the beach, there is Sicily which is really beautiful and safe as well. You can also use Florence as a base to see all of Tuscany as day trips since the trains and buses are all there! More to come-just ask away! Talk soon!
